Bloomington, Ind. — The Arts Alliance of Greater Bloomington (AAGB), a nonprofit organization bringing artists together and connecting to the greater Bloomington community, announces a bold new vision for the nearly 15-year-old area alliance. This new identity reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering creativity, supporting artists, and advocating for the transformative power of the arts across South-Central Indiana.

“While our name and branding are evolving, our core mission and values remain. Pillar Arts continues to educate, create community, and champion creative entrepreneurship. The new identity brings fresh energy into our organization, expanding our inclusivity across diverse artistic disciplines and allows us to be more adaptable to changing times.” said Pillar Arts Board President Henry Leck.

“Creativity is at the heart of everything we do,” said Pillar Arts Executive Director Charles R Pearce. “As Pillar Arts, we are reaffirming our commitment to celebrating, recognizing, and supporting the arts while also ensuring that creative education and creative expression is accessible, impactful, and a vital part of our region’s cultural and economic landscape.”

Pillar Arts believes that the arts are not just for enrichment but also serve as a catalyst for employment opportunities, housing security, and placemaking efforts that strengthen communities throughout South-Central Indiana.

The transition to Pillar Arts marks an exciting new chapter in the organization’s history, with the full brand roll-out slated to deploy over the next few months as signage and websites are updated and replaced.
