Indiana is teeming with creative energy in all shapes and sizes, but it’s not always easy to find, even when it’s right under your nose. This digital project is Pillar Arts attempt to highlight all the relevant creative establishments, enterprises, groups, etc… that inspire the state. We care about arts, culture, creativity, inspirations, entertainment, and maker resources along with good food and structural artistic support resources. We’re adding what we can when we can. We start with ones we know and are quickly discovered, but over time we will gather more and more. The survey project today will look different from the survey project tomorrow. We sincerely hope this helps increase visibility of creative community, and makes it easier to find arts and culture where you live, and we hope this helps increase the visibility of our vibrant creative economy.
Pillar Arts is mapping creative community resources across Indiana by category and county. Find arts organizations, programs, and support in your area, and contribute resources you know about to help other Indiana artists find them.
Please remember, this survey is an ongoing work in progress. Businesses, groups, non-profits, programs…they all come and go over the years. Even as a new project, it is likely to slip out of date fast. Additionally, Indiana is just bursting with creative enterprise. It’s going to take a long time to gather it all. We are incorporating web links, directory profile connections, and adding new establishments all the time; but if you see something missing, in the wrong category, or need to be changed/taken down. Let us know!
The Creative Community + Economy Survey is intended to help us all understand the arts, culture, and entertainment industry all around us, from small local enterprises to historic statewide institutions. This project was launched in June of 2026 and will continue to grow and expand over time.
Arts and Culture categories are listed below in alphabetical order. Each one is an expandible menu. Within, establishments are listed by County. We only log establishments in one category per county, but operations with more than one space, or obvious specialization of program or space can be listed as an independent entry.
This survey database map covers art organizations, grant programs, community arts events, artist support resources, arts and culture businesses, community arts groups, and relevant destination tourism experiences. It is organized by arts and culture service discipline and Indiana county, and more entries are being added all the time.
If you know about a resource in Indiana that should be in this database, use the form below to include it. Submissions are reviewed before being added. You may submit your own organization.
