Mission

The mission of Pillar Arts is to strengthen and sustain the arts by connecting artists, cultural organizations, and artistic endeavors with patrons and the community.

Vision

Pillar Arts envisions a safe environment where artists feel empowered and supported in an evolving and engaged arts community.

Structure
Pillar Arts identifies six distinct arts groups within the arts community: visual arts, literary arts, music, dance, theatre & film, and galleries, venues, & festivals. Representatives for each group communicate their genre’s unique perspectives and concerns as members of the Board of Directors, which then set the agenda. Pillar Arts is inclusive and representative of artists and arts supporters in our community and all across South-Central Indiana.
Transparency & Reporting

In 2025, Pillar Arts reached artists across 20% of Indiana counties, hosted gallery exhibitions, supported artist members through our regional Artists Directory, and facilitated community arts events at the Arts Alliance Center. Cash balances have gone up year over year, and our signature Artists on Display gallery program continues to grow.
