Every two weeks, Pillar Arts sends a newsletter to artists, patrons, arts supporters, and community members across Bloomington and South-Central Indiana.
Each issue covers what is happening at the Pillar Arts galleries; Arts Alliance Center in College Mall and By Hand Gallery in Fountain Square as well as arts events happening across the broader region: Nashville, Indiana and Brown County; Bedford and Lawrence County; Columbus; Martinsville; Jasper and Dubois County… and other communities throughout the Indiana Uplands.

Artist spotlights. Each issue features several working artists from the Pillar Arts Artist Directory community with a portrait of their practice, their background, and the work they are making right now. Past spotlights have covered painters, ceramicists, fiber artists, jewelers, woodworkers, photographers, and other artists working in mediums that do not fit easy categories.
Gallery news from By Hand and the Arts Alliance Center. What is currently on display at By Hand Gallery at 101 W Kirkwood Ave, Suite 109, in Fountain Square. What is opening and closing at the Arts Alliance Center, 2894 E 3rd St in College Mall. Gallery hours, reception dates, and what to expect if you visit.
First Friday Gallery Walk previews. A preview of what to expect at By Hand Gallery and the broader Bloomington Gallery Walk on the first Friday of each month. Galleries open from 5 to 8pm, free to attend.
Community events across South-Central Indiana. Arts events, performances, exhibitions, workshops, and happenings submitted by arts organizations and individual artists from across the region.
