Hoosier artists have been participating members since 2014. Annual membership unlocks discounted rates for venue rentals, lower boothing fees, and discounts on some workshops and ticketed events. Memberships also contribute to our support of artists from around Bloomington, Monroe County and all of Indiana.

Individual Memberships
At $35 a year, this membership category is priced for individual community members and artists. For those that self-identify as either Students or Seniors and select either membership discount category, you may receive $10 off your annual membership price, reducing it to $25 a year.
Organizational Memberships
At $45 a year, this membership category allows community groups, guilds, businesses, and organizations to also access Pillar Arts resources at discount.
Spotlights + Features
Pillar Arts newsletter and website artist/group spotlight features are sourced from member artists and organizations active in our community with up to date profiles in our artists directory.
Membership also unlocks:

If you are growing your art practice, and looking for a support system that helps you grow, our membership becomes a practical cost-savings choice that makes our below market rate resources even more accessible for artists building their creative profession. But membership also comes with community participation. Members volunteer together to support and maintain the gallery, they attend each others exhibits, they create workshops to share skills.

Who can become a member of Pillar Arts?
Anyone with an interest in supporting the arts can join—whether you’re an artist, organization, arts supporter, or creative enthusiast. We welcome individuals and groups from all backgrounds.

How much does membership cost?
Membership dues vary by type (individual, student, organization, etc.). Specific rates are $35 a year for individuals, $45 a year for organizations, and $25 a year reduced rate for students and seniors.

What are the benefits of membership?
Members receive visibility through our Artist Directory, discounts on select artist and performer resources, and it creates eligibility to be considered for our signature Artists on Display program.

When is membership renewal due, and how does it work if I join late in the year?
Membership renewal is due annually on the date of purchase, but Pillar Arts promotes and reminds membership holders in December.
HINT: Memberships purchased during our annual Labor Day Weekend special receive a complimentary second year.

Is my membership tax-deductible?
Yes. Pillar Arts is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and your membership dues are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Yes! Gifting a membership is a great way to support local artists and introduce someone to the Pillar Arts community. Fill out the membership form in the gift-ee’s name. Reach out to us if you have any issues.
